'ello
I feel as though a "Sonya" update is in order. Yes, I'm alive. Yes, I'm well.
Married life is wonderful. I like being Mrs. Parker. Eegor is a weirdo, and Ben and I love him to death.
Work has been extremely busy for the past 2 and half weeks, but it looks like it'll be slowing down a bit in the next few days. Phew.
Our townhouse is coming along. We still need to paint the 2nd floor (specifically our bedroom), get a queen size mattress (our full just isn't cutting it anymore), get new bedding, remodel the downstairs bathroom, and hang some pictures. Eventually we'd like to replace our carpets with Berber, but that probably won't happen anytime soon. One of our neighbors is selling their townhouse and had an Open House a few weekends ago, so I stopped by. I was relived to find out that our place is in MUCH better condition, and we bought it for a lot less than they are asking for. Nice (for us)!
Tomorrow night Ben and I are going bowling at the 2008 AIGA Gutter Bowl (info here). Go team Grow! It should be a lot of fun! I'm not very good at bowling, but it's fun (especially Wii bowling). And I like pizza, and there will be plenty o' pizza!
That is all I feel like typing. Ta ta!

Heath will always be loved
My friend's husband decided to take a stroll past Heath Ledger's apartment, and took this photo via iPhone. How bittersweet.
(Thanks Julie and Chris)

(Thanks Julie and Chris)

Oh my!
The creepiest thing happened this morning. I had just gotten to work, and since the office park where our building is located in is still new, there are still construction workers all over the place, working on adjacent offices/stores. Every now and again we hear them walking on our roof. This morning, nothing out of the ordinary, we hear a guy walking on the roof. Then all of a sudden he starts screaming on the top of his lungs, like he was in complete and utter pain. Turns out he was. We're not exactly sure what happened, but we think he slipped on some ice and broke his leg/arm (something). Two fire trucks came to get him off the roof, as well as an ambulance. We heard him screaming in pain for about 10-15 minutes. It was seriously the most disturbing sound I've ever had to witness with my own ears. I really hope he's okay.

Heath Ledger: 1979-2008

No one knows how he died yet, but everyone's suspecting he accidentally overdosed on prescription drugs. I can't imagine why he would have done it purposely, especially on the verge of release of "The Dark Knight" (as the infamous Joker), which would have surely boosted his career ten fold. It just doesn't make any sense. Hopefully, there will be some conclusive evidence once the toxicology reports come back.
My heart goes out to his family, friends, and loved ones, especially little Matilda Rose.
I'm bummed.

Movie madness!

Oh, and I'm not huge on football, at all, but I watched the Giants/Packers game last night, and boy am I happy the Giants won! Though they are called the "New York" Giants, fellow New Jersey natives understand they are "our" team. I don't know how they played in -4 degree weather. Sheeesh!

Air time

Ah, the MacBook Air. Definitely seems like quite the machine, but I'll never get it. My dog would probably chew it up right after I took it out of the box. But, damn, it looks cool.
You can choose between:
- Intel Core 2 Duo processor
- 2GB memory
- 80GB 4200-rpm PATA hard drive1
- Built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi2 and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
$1,799.00
or
- Intel Core 2 Duo processor
- 2GB memory
- 64GB solid-state drive1
- Built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi2 and Bluetooth 2.1 + ED
$3,098.00
I'd rather get an iPhone. One day.

I'm alive, I think

Eegor is doing really well. He's about 95% potty trained, and I'm so proud! He also puts himself to bed at night, which consists of him going into his crate all by himself. He's such a smart little guy, and so precious! I'm taking him to work with me tomorrow, yay!
I beat Guitar Hero III on easy and medium, but I just can't seem to get a handle on hard. That 5th button really kills me. I need to keep practicing! Ben and I had to exchange our game, because the disc had 2 scratches on it. Although, when we went to exchange it, they didn't have any in stock at the store, so they are sending one to our house. I can't wait until it arrives!
My tummy is hungry. I shall eat soon.
Isn't that picture adorable? Hehehe. Mister Crazy Face, how I love thee.

The sickness
I feel like crap. I'm not down with the sickness. At least I made it to work today. I barely slept a wink the night before last, and woke up with swollen eyelids. I laid on the couch all day, drank tons of fluids, inhaled soup, and watched the Lost: Season 3 box set my sister got me for Christmas. Therefore, I am now all caught up with the series, and am ready for Season 4, which starts on January 31st. We'll see how long I can keep up with it -- hopefully indefinitely. Ben is now addicted as well. Go team!
