Last week Fat Possum Records announced that they signed Andrew Bird, and his follow up album to one of my favorite albums of all time [The Mysterious Production of Eggs], Armchair Apocrypha, will be released in the Spring of 2007.

Now, let me tell you a little about the lovely Andrew Bird. First and formost, he's fabulous, and his violin picking, whistle while you work, eclectic folk rock is absolutely contagious. My good friend passed him off to me quite some time ago, then we ventured out to NYC's Bowery Ballroom to catch a performance. Let me tell you, Mr. Bird puts on an incredible show. Loop after seemless loop, he has perfected his one man, yet highly involved show.
