I'm not a patient person
Last night, I watched "The Whole Nine Yards" for the first time. For whatever reason, I never wanted to see if before, but I finally popped it in last night. Funny, stupid, yet entertaining.
Then, I ate some cowboy cookies with a glass of milk, and watched MythBusters. Man that show is awesome. I'd love to hang out with those crazy kids for a day!
Then, I went to bed, alone. Meh! It was weird not having Ben there. He's supposed to be home around 4AM tomorrow morning, but since his work schedule is so wishy washy, that'll probably change.
I woke up this morning with an icky pink eye. I don't think it's pink eye, it's just a pink eye. Haha! It's feeling better now, only a little irritated still. I think I was just messing with it in my sleep or something.
I want the wedding pictures from the photographer. I'm getting antsy.

New beginnings
January 24, 2003 - Irene and I head to a show at Stingrays in Old Bridge, NJ to see a few bands play. One band in particular stood out, that band was Mae.
January 26, 2003 - Superbowl Sunday, Irene and I head into New York City to see above band play at the Continental, and the friendship begins.
April 2, 2003 - Per the request of Mark Padgett, bassist of Mae, Irene and I head to Newport News, VA to see his best friend, Ben Parker, play in a band called Red Admiral.
September 8, 2007 - Ben Parker and I become husband and wife in Norfolk, VA.
Why the recap?
Because of Mae, more specifically, because of Mark, I am where I am today; Living in Virginia, married to Benjamin Parker, the love of my life.
About a week ago, Mark decided to quit the band, along with the keyboardist, Rob. Therefore, the events of the passed week or so, made me very thankful that I had the opportunity to meet Mark, and become friends with him. Thank you Mark, thank you for being in Mae for the passed 5 years, and for bringing me to my husband.
Everything happens for a reason!

A new life is taken, but there is hope
About a week ago, Devona, the wife of a coworker of mine gave birth to 2 twin girls, 5 months premature. Alexis was born weighing exactly 1 pound, and Brittany weighing a little over 1 pound. The doctors aren't sure what exactly caused the babies to come so early, but Devona's water broke and there was no stopping them.
Sad news came this morning, Alexis passed away. Luckily, Brittany is still holding on.
It's a very sad time for the Archer family, but a time when they must stay positive and give all the love they can to their daughter Brittany, in hopes that she makes it through this tough time. Please keep Darnley, Devona, Brittany and the entire Archer family in your prayers.

Yada yada poo poo

Anyway, Ben will be pretty much MIA until Sunday afternoon/evening. He'll be in Richmond until Thursday, then he's flying to Indiana on Saturday. Where's my husband? Oh that's right, he's working. I love him.

Ummm
I got a lot done this weekend. The house is coming together slowly. I cleaned and arranged our office last night, and it's looking good. I can actually go in there and use my computer now, and actually put things away where I want them to go. There's still a bunch of stuff in the closet that needs to be sorted through, but that can wait.
Ben's been really busy with work lately, which is always bittersweet. I wish he had more weekends off, so we could do random and fun things like go to Busch Gardens. It always seems like when he's working, I'm not, and when I'm working, he isn't. It's a tad bit frustrating to say the least. But hey, money is money, and he likes his job, so that's a blessing!
I really want to make a real dinner in our kitchen. I haven't made anything aside from the standard grilled cheese, eggs for breakfast, and packaged brownies. I was planning on making something yummy this week, but since Ben won't be home, it'll have to wait!

Enjoyment
I like being a wife. I like having my own house with the love of my life. I like surprising Ben with brownies when he gets home. I like cleaning up my mess, not someone else's. I like doing what I want to do, when I want to do it.
I'm into this.

I have returned Mrs. Parker!

I'm back from my honeymoon! It's so weird to call Ben my husband, but so lovely!
Our wedding was amazing. Everything turned out perfectly and I couldn't have been happier. Thank you so much to everyone who made it! I love you all!
Our honeymoon was super relaxing, and overall, we had an amazing time. We went horseback riding, to a water park, visited Luray Caverns (plus their awesome Garden Maze!), ate good food, and certainly enjoyed the lovely mountains and each other. It was so hard going back to work yesterday.
Ben and I are officially moved into our townhouse! Our cable and internet was hooked up this morning, and everything is slowly coming together. I'll post some pictures when it's all set up! It's so nice having my own house.
Ta ta!

1 day to go Miss
I'm typing this from the hotel my family and I, as well as most of the out of towners, are staying at in downtown Norfolk. Last night was my Bachelorette Party, and it was great fun! The ladies and I went to dinner and then 80's dancing! My sister got me a few token items, such as a tiara, ribbon and necklace, haha! I was a good sport and wore them all night. Ah, being at the Wave brought back so many memories. Ben and I had our first "date" there. Awww!
It really hasn't hit me that I'm getting married tomorrow. My wedding dress is hanging up in my room, just a glance away, and looking more beautiful than ever. Yet, I still don't know what it's going to feel like to walk down the isle tomorrow afternoon. I can't imagine how it's going to feel, and how emotional I'll become while Ben and I say our vows. How insanely amazing, yet completely baffling at the same time.
I hope I sleep well tonight!

Happy Labor Day!

Note the bold typeface. Nonetheless, Ben and I have our work cut out for us today; Lots of last minute wedding stuff to take care of. I expect no relaxation today.
Tomorrow it's back to work until Thursday. Then, the wedding craziness begins! I can't wait! And I can't believe it's almost here!
Oh yeah, and here is a link to some of the pictures I took at the Mae show. My focus was the spandex background, not the guys, because Ben was responsible for the awesome setup! I think it looks really great, and Brett did a great job with the projections. I'm very proud of my soon to be husband, haha!
